A BUSY YEAR
2004 YEAR IN REVIEW
I did this because
I had some spare time on my hands.

Michael contemplates his transportation options.

Here it is, my long awaited year in review.  I've collected some of the highlights of this past year, along with a some new stories and perspectives to keep you busy reading over the holidays.  Finally armed with a free week without a deadline until February, I can relax a bit and rest up for my trip to meet up with my family in Orange County, California.  In the meantime, I decided to put together this expansive summary of the last year.  I'm exhausted and broke, but all in all, this was a very good year, with a lot of surprises and enough fun to make all the slow and hard times seem far away.  So skim through, and I hope you find some enjoyment in it.

Here's what's waiting for you:

  • The Top SCHLIEFKEVISION stories of the year

  • Politics: The Schliefke curse continues.  McCain and Kerry will forever rue the day they met me.

  • Art: The shows and work I'm most proud of.

  • A story about Dogs.

  • Food: Some of the finest I tasted all year.

  • Thanks to the folks who kept me going.

  • A look back at the frustrating work I tried to accomplish in studio this year

  • My Goals for 2005: disturbingly similar to the unrealized goals I had in 2004.

See ya'll in 2005.
