WILL THERE EVER BE A RAINBOW?
November 5, 2005- Take a trip down memory lane and see one of Austin's biggest art shows. Seventy four artists put together one of the most visually stunning shows ever, with one unifying theme: unicorns. The show was recently named as the 'Best Group/Theme Art Show in 2005' by the Austin Chronicle. |

THE TEXAS BIENNIAL '05
March 7, 2005 - The Texas Biennial is hanging all
over Austin right now, and with all group shows, there's good and
bad, but I couldn't help but walking away impressed with what I saw.
If you'd like to read one painter's opinion of the largest art show
in Texas all year, check out what I had to say after seeing the
2005 Texas Biennial. |

WHY CHARITIES AND ART
NEVER MIX
OOPS I DID IT AGAIN!
February 25, 2005 - For the second time I
donated a painting to a charity and the whole experience left a bad
taste in my mouth. It's unfortunate, because its cool helping
out people and charities when they need it. Read all about
art
and charity fundraisers in Austin

'ARTISTS ARE POOR, BUT
POOR WITH STYLE'

June 12, 2004 - "You artists", the critic panned the crowd
and immediately identified his core audience, "are weird." And
with that, Village Voice critic Jerry Saltz led the packed house at

life of a critic. (more..) |
