BIOGRAPHY | |
I was born in Schenectady, New York in the middle of the 1970's, under the green and white glow of a HESS gas station and the steady buzz from the gigantic General Electric plant taking up zip code 12345. After following my family's moves from upstate New York to coastal Maine and back, we settled down long enough to educate me in Massachusetts and I soon deemed my interest in art to be sufficient to move to Kansas City, Missouri to follow my bold aspirations. |

It was at the Kansas City Art Institute where I developed my artistic skills in a strong work environment conducive to lots of working and partying. Returning back east after graduating, I was soon working as a temp at a high tech firm during the height of the tech boom. I was able to travel leisurely and even able to write my own ticket to live in Ireland. After the bubble burst, towers fell and layoffs hit, I quickly volunteered for a layoff and moved to Austin, Texas.
Since arriving in Austin, I’ve painted full time, showing throughout town regularly, eschewing commercial galleries and the full art scene with a keen satisfaction on being able to make my own work and schedule. I’ve shared studio spaces with talented artists at the ARTHive, Blue Genie and Bolm Studios. I have curated a series of painting shows throughout town, and was last seen collaborating with Ian Shults on this November’s ‘Will There Ever be a Rainbow?” unicorn art show.
