UPCOMING SHOW:
AMERICAN
PAINTINGS BY
MICHAEL SCHLIEFKE
May 1 - May 31, 2004
MOJO'S DAILY GRIND
2714 Guadalupe
Austin, Texas
Reception: Thursday, May 13, 6pm - 10pm
May 9, 2004 - Now hanging at Mojo's
Daily Grind is a show of 15 works, on canvas and paper, reveling in hot
dogs and the wanton excess of the American culinary experience.
This Thursday, the 13th, there will be a reception with the artist
on-hand to sit back, relax drink some fine beverages and talk with
anyone willing to listen.
| Following in the satiric footsteps of the 'Appetite for Destruction'
show held at Mojo's in February, 2003, this show will leave politics
behind and instead take a closer look at the social ills that plague
what once was and could be the Greatest Country in the World. With
this once proud land gladly seeping into a slovenly and tasteless
land of
overweight folks who
are too fat to fit in roller coasters, now is the time to take stock of this problem and wake people
up into doing something about it. |

Michael Schliefke says, "Hopefully, everyone will have a good
laugh, enjoy the paintings, and feel inspired to do something with their
lives besides eat McDonalds, watch TV and vote Republican."
