| November 14, 2004 - The latest
show of new and recent works from Michael Schliefke will hang at
Mojo's Daily Grind from November 14 through December 30. The
show, featuring a collection of large and small paintings, alongside
some charcoal drawings and new acrylic works, will have an opening
party on Saturday, December 4 featuring live music and a slew of
entertainment.
The works in the show represent a transitional time in Michael's
work, as images begin to dissolve, placing more emphasis on line and
form than finishing small details in a tight fashion. Humans
are recognizable, but are seen at quick glances, capturing movement
and emotion with brushstrokes and paint.
The explorations that begun with the work in this show are
continuing in the studio, and will be on display throughout the
first months of 2005 in a variety of shows
that have already been planned. |
