ART HIVE SPRING SHOW
Spring is in the air, and couples are on Michael Schliefke's mind. This show combined the earlier spring inspired paintings of the Brown and Green show with a trio of larger works featuring dancing couples. Also new and improved for the show was a couple of paintings that served as brother pieces to the large painting from the Whisky Bar show. In addition to all this, also new and on display was some older works from Michael's Kansas City days, which featured circus motifs. These works were scaled down, re-worked, and translated into his
work style of today.

BROWN AND GREEN SHOW
Michael Schliefke's latest series of works will make their Austin debut at the In-House Gallery this Thursday, April 3 from 5-9pm. The show will feature work from the always prolific Ethan Azarian, who has also invited his brother Jesse Azarian from Oakland, California to show. Ethan and Jesse have about 10 collaborative works together, incorporating several of Jesse's spaceships, steaks, eggs and bacon into surreal, punkish landscapes begun in Ethan's mind
