'THE DANCERS'
MICHAEL SCHLIEFKE
| Michael paints satiric
scenes involving socialites, showgirls and evil men in suits,
eschewing contemporary painting styles by combining early 20th
century realism and expressionism with classical compositions and
active pictoral space. He is a '97 graduate of the Kansas City
Art Institute and moved to Austin in 2002 after stints in Missouri,
Massachusetts and Ireland. |
