June 1, 2004 - SCHLIEFKEVISION is pleased to
announce a midsummer show of new, smaller works on canvas and paper from
the studio of Michael
Schliefke that will be on view the final week of June.
The works in the show will be a
continuation of the series of work begun in last October's 'Shoulda
Been a Plumber' show and this April's 'While
We're Young' painting exhibition.
The work in this show is continuing an
exploration into DeKooning's loss of imagery, watching the breakdown of
forms and space into planes of color and gesture. Continuing with
the constant themes in his work, this show serves as a midsummer
reminder of the new work that is already coming together for this
October's 'Shoulda
Been a Plumber Too' painting exhibition.
