Finally back to work after stretching up a
good twenty canvases, I've started working on three new paintings and
finishing one that got put on the backburner during the tsunami of shows
that wrapped up 2003.
Working Title: The Reluctant Diner
Keyed in on a cool composition, some familiar characters (cigarette
girl look familiar anyone?), and I'm sure my mom would think that
this painting is filled with way too much sadness. So it goes.
Not every meal comes with a bowl of cherries.
The start of my series on the arts scene. Of course, art, like
life is filled with a lot of detours, so there's no telling where
this will end up.
The second in the early stages of the Arts scene. A bunch of
drunk, self possessed hipsters serving themselves at the keg,
surrounded by icy sculptures.
I think this painting is going to be about awakenings for some
reason. And for some reason, I think a king may be involved.
