SCOPING OUT THE NEW DIGS:
May 9, 2004 - With three loads of stuff moved to my new space, and the specter of having to move all my paintings and studio belongings still hanging over my head, I'm starting to get settled and feel out the new space.

With my drawing show with Philip Trussell scheduled for late June, and coming off the huge amount of work I had to finish up for my two shows in April, I'm feeling a slight break in the action is just what this tired soul needs at the moment.

In addition to pondering the merits of DeKooning the past few months, I am also starting to feel recharged and ready to start painting some darkly satirical paintings for the return of the Plumbing Exhibition in October.

I'm really excited about the new digs and the new lease on life, with just enough money saved up to get me clear to June while reloading some of my supplies.  The chore now will be getting the new space set up the way I want it, and starting work on the stacks of drawings I hope to have finished in time for the drawing show in June.

Here are some pictures of the new space,
