SXSW 2006
CASINO EL CAMINO
March 19, 2006 - The joy of SXSW is when it ends.  By Sunday, the busiest place in Austin in the airport, and the bars become local watering holes again.  It's always a treat to swing by Casino on Monday afternoon, with no jukebox, conversation at a minimum, and you are given the chance to collect your thoughts once again.

Sunday night this was not the case, as Crusher returned to work behind the bar for one night only.  I bussed downtown with Laura to end this five day binge right: by downing liberal amounts of alcohol.

There was a steady downpour accentuated by heavier rains and plenty of thunder and lightning.  Crusher, Gargoyle and Lisa took good care of the regulars, and the drinks and shots poured down inside.

By two o'clock, I was still able to stand, speak and hail a cab, a great accomplishment considering the drinking that was done in five hours after battling a harsh Sparks hangover on four hours of sleep.
