On Monday, April 27, the eighth and final session of the ArtistInc Live program was held before a full house in the AIA building in downtown Kansas City. There, 25 talented Kansas City artists from a wide variety of artforms and mediums gathered as a group one last time to deliver 5 minute Pecha Kucha speeches.
My good friend Corey Goering‘s first solo show opens at the Haw Contemporary in Kansas City’s West Bottoms on Friday, October 24th. The work looks pretty great, and there will be a few exhibitionist tricks up his sleeve that will make up the installation for the show as well. While taking a nice Sunday morning walk on 39th Street, the rumblings of my empty stomach were replaced with the rumblings of an idea for a new, exciting art project that will culminate in a large, collaborative group show featuring artists from Kansas City, Austin, and parts unknown.
