PAINTING STRETCHERS |
 | Heavy duty, tightly stretched painting canvases are available.
12 oz. canvas is stretched tightly over these beveled canvases so you
will never paint and get a line from the canvas touching the stretcher
underneath. Rabbit skin glue can be applied to maintain the
stretch and keep the oils from the paint from reaching the fibers of the
canvas. Gesso is also an available option.
I have been making canvases for over fifteen years. I can build
canvases to any size, and all work done within a week.

EXTRAS
The following grounds can be applied to any canvas at an extra cost per order:
Gesso
Rabbit skin glue Any changes to depth of the wall greater than or less than the standard 2" depth provided also will result in a 10% charge.

Each stretcher is
beveled at an angle so the only place the canvas only touches the
stretcher on the side. The sides are 2 inches deep, so the
canvas has a natural presence when hung on the wall, and the sides can
easily be painted for shows.
All canvases with a side over 30 inches has additional bracing for extra
support.
Poplar can be used for an additional charge. |
