My first trip to Austin Texas was made
shortly after I arrived back in the United States from Ireland in
the fall of 2001. My plane reservations were actually made in
Ireland. Good friends Paul and Christin were getting married,
and I had to make a choice between flying into Austin or San
Antonio.
My fate was cast.
Seven months later, my F150 roared past the Austin City Limits sign
on IH-35 and hasn't left Texas again.
