The Ruby Room (named after Jack Ruby?) was converted into a cold, air conditioned room with shrink wrap on the floor.  The reason: boxloads of flowers, vases, and assorted floral materials would fill the room up as the headquarters of the floral team.

Laura got teamed with Shauna and Pam in the flower room to produce about 500 floral centerpieces for a slew of different events over the course of the four day conference.

They were armed with the valuable knowledge of Buddy, the hotel's florist who was drafted into helping out.  Of course, the rest of us on the crew spent our idle hours helping out with some of the arrangements.  So we cut stems, sorted flowers, picked out flowers and the like, in between hauling boxes of lights, sandbags, props and doing the heavy lifting in the other rooms.
