| Of course, none of these trips are anything without a bit of work. After spending our first hours in Dallas unloading the truck that arrived from Colorado, we spent Wednesday busily preparing the outdoor courtyard for a big BBQ feast for all the entrepreneurs at the conference.
Our first task was dragging out the western themed props and set up a series of western vignettes throughout the setting. All of us groaned a bit setting up western props in Dallas, a slightly played out theme for Texas, but it's Texas, and if I were flying into Dallas, damn right I want to see a cactus, and a longhorn and a real cowboy. I don't care if there's a Starbucks on every corner, I want to see longhorns mounted on the front of a Cadillac and men in white suits shooting off six guns in the middle of the damn street.

AS THE PIGS BURN... A highlight while setting up was watching the pigs hang gently on a stick over a burning fire. Laura was pretty grossed out by them, despite her need to seemingly put bacon on top of everything she eats.
