A visit to Kansas City
KC BBQ

During my stay, I was able to hit my three BBQ locals, and none disappointed at all, here's a run down:

OKLAHOMA JOE'S - I ordered the Z-Man, BBQ with a piece of Provolone, and two onion rings on a bun with a big side of seasoned fries. Even though I've expressed my horror over having a good BBQ joint in KC named after a neighboring state, I have to admit their food is damn fine.  A ton to eat, but still easy going down.

ARTHUR BRYANT'S - The Burnt Ends carried the day, with some fries on the side and a large helping of some red cream soda.  This is the most gluttonous place on earth, and unless I find a way to balance a light breakfast or ease washing down my bites with the soda, I'll always have mouth watering leftovers for those late night hours.  Not that that's bad.

GATES' - The beef sandwich feels like an afterthought after you spend an afternoon trying to digest Arthur Bryant's.  Delicious and constantly rising in my mind year after year, Gates always delivers the goods.
