| June 4, 2005 - I pooled what little
luck and resources I have remaining and was able to swap a painting
for a round trip ticket to Upstate New York to visit my ailing
grandfather and help celebrate his birthday.
Traveling on such short notice put a sizeable
spring in my step, and I paced as much into two weeks as one could
imagine - hanging out with family, visiting seedy bars, filling my
body with some of the best hot dogs I have ever tasted, and running
through Boston and Cambridge, even making a visit to my old place of
employment and visiting the cold, grey world of cubes I left behind
three years ago.
There's plenty more coming that will flesh out
the random adventures that fell into my lap, including a night at
the track, a date with Darth Vader, and a quest to celebrate my
distaste for the British at the Boston Tea Party boat.
So without any more words, here are the stories and pictures that
begin to resemble the trip back to my hometown.
