2007: OCTOBER - DECEMBER | My proudest achievement | The final months of the year were the big payoff I was waiting for. With the comic book finished and sent off to the printers, I finally felt the weight of the world rise up off
my shoulders. With a memorable opening night at Rio Rita, I continued to sell a bunch of copies at the annual EAST tour and Blue Genie's Art Bazaar. Relaxed and running on pure adrenaline, I made the decision now was the time to take a break and I made the bold move to leave Bolm Studios, my homebase for the past three and a half years. With uncertainty on the horizon, I've already mapped out a slew of projects for the new year when I return to Austin just in time for Spring. |

OCTOBER
When I finally sent off the comic to the printers, I was able to start catching up on some sleep. Of course, I got a bit scared by some of my dreams, but all was well as an overwhelming urge to party took over, and the celebration that would last through the end of the year began.

NOVEMBER November opened with a bang - a monumental comic book release party at Rio Rita made all my efforts worth it. I continued to sign more copies of my book at the annual East Austin Studio Tour, and got interviewed by the Onion, twice by the Statesman, and the Chronicle as well. I snuck away to Kansas City for a quick, well deserved break and celebrated Thanksgiving with some dear old friends. |

DECEMBER
With the up and down temperatures of December, I started to slowly clean out my studio and my room preparing for my big move. I'm taking a break from Austin for a few months, with a lot of big stuff planned for next year. I also quietly started the sequel to my comic book, which means the odyssey is beginning again... |
