Mar 2017 – Rodeo bulls continued to take center stage on my new work in the studio this month. Instead of graceful, mythic European matadors at the center, a bunch of crass, tasteless American clowns rose up to challenge the bulls.

February ’17 Studio Update
Feb 2017- A new series of gestural paintings started to come together in my studio this month. Using a bullfighting motif, these paintings are all loosely executed with a shared palette across all the canvases.
May ’16 The Boxing Series
May 2016 – Here’s a quick look at my completed series of nine boxing oil paintings. Eight of the paintings are 40″x40″, and the rectangular one at the end is 40″x50″. Each of these oil paintings were painted in the Spring of 2016 at Michael’s studio in the Arts Asylum.
