Sometimes it’s easier to just write about what I’m painting about than actually write some bullshit artist statement. Here’s what boxing, bullfighting, rodeo clowns, sideshows and carnivals mean to me. Hold on to your pants, this could get wordy.

October ’18 Studio Update
Silkscreen Printing and Oil Painting. October has been a crazy month. Two large (4’x6′) paintings incorporating the imagery I’ve been working with all year has blossomed to include Morton Downey Jr, street preachers, busty sirens, bulls and rodeo clowns against a sideshow backdrop.
January ’18 Studio Update
January 2018- It’s a busy start to the New Year! Rodeo clowns take center stage! With a show looming closely on the horizon at Hank Charcuterie in Lawrence, Kansas in February, I’m scrambling to finish up the entire concept of paintings and drawings that will make up the show.
March ’17 Studio Update
Mar 2017 – Rodeo bulls continued to take center stage on my new work in the studio this month. Instead of graceful, mythic European matadors at the center, a bunch of crass, tasteless American clowns rose up to challenge the bulls.
