PeaceWorks Kansas City is holding its 29th Annual UNplaza Art Fair in Southmoreland Park on September 21 -22, 2019. I’ll be one of the artists participating!
The UNplaza Art Fair is where local artists show their wares across the street from the Nelson-Atkins Museum. Down the road is the circus of traveling artists at the Plaza Art Fair.
In keeping with the themes I’ve been working on this year, a lot of my works revolves around circuses. Fourteen of my recent paintings are set at carnivals and circuses. It’s fitting they’ll be showing in a tent!
I will also be displaying boxing, matador and sideshow paintings as well. I will also have drawings on display and for purchase, and may produce a silkscreen print or two before the show begins. My booth will be chock full of new and original art, so make some plans to hang out among the sea of artists! Events like this are always busy, but it’s great to see familiar faces in the crowd.
The Art Fair is also the biggest fundraiser of the year for PeaceWorks KC. Their goal is a healthy world of justice and peace without war and its weapons. their mission is to embody and empower their core truth – peace works!
